Beijing's historic Hutong neighborhoods are some of the most interesting and lively
areas of the city. In a massive effort to modernize Beijing for the Olympics, many of
these neighborhoods have been destroyed. For some residents this provides a chance
for a better standard of living. For others it means the end of a way of life.
